HARD DEADLINES

Scaling Pathways to Homeownership | Capital One Foundation | Deadline January 29

Up to ten finalists will receive $200,000 in project development and technical assistance. This open call is designed to identify and support bold solutions that expand access to affordable homeownership across the United States. It seeks solutions that can drive transformative change, including innovations in housing counseling, consumer education, and for-sale housing production.

Community Organizing Grants | Peace Development Fund | Next Deadline: January 31
Provides small general operating grants to organizations in the US, Mexico, and Haiti that are organizing for social, economic, and/or environmental justice. 

CenterPoint Energy Foundation Charitable Grant | CenterPoint Energy Foundation | Deadline February 13 and July 17

Provides grants to nonprofits in Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio, and Texas where CenterPoint has a business presence. Funding prioritizes workforce development and community vitality, with an emphasis on serving under-resourced populations.

Lead Hazard Reduction Capacity Building Grant Program | HUD | Deadline February 26

Provides more than $4.4 million dollars to help jurisdictions build the infrastructure for  comprehensive lead hazard control programs in eligible privately-owned rental or owner-occupied housing. While these grants are for government entities, one of the key program components is “Developing key partnerships/subgrantees such as: faith-based, health departments, coalitions, or other community-based organizations.” 

Fund For A Just Society | Unitarian Universalist Foundation | Next Deadline: March 31
Supports groups that meet all 3 criteria: 1) use community organizing to bring about systemic change leading to a more just society; 2) mobilize those who have been disenfranchised and excluded from resources, power and the right to self-determination; 3) have an active focused campaign to create systemic change.

Community Possible | US Bank Foundation 

Grants to nonprofit organizations in 25 states served by the Bank that advance the following funding priorities: artistic and enrichment learning, workforce education and economic prosperity, and focusing on neighborhood stability and revitalization. 

Seed Grant Program | Community Heart & Soul
Provides $10,000 in startup funding for resident-driven groups in small cities and towns with populations of 2,500 to 30,000. Requires a $10,000 cash match from the participating municipality or a partnering organization.

Resourcing Communities | Emergent Fund
Provides monthly, open-access, low-barrier, no-reporting grants to impacted communities for rapid response and emergent organizing.

De Colores Rapic Response Fund | Peace Development Fund
Supports organizing in U.S. grassroots communities, with a focus on communities of color, poor and working class, and the effects of in-the-moment issues.

Community Giving Grants | Wells Fargo
Funding priorities: financial opportunity, housing access and affordability, small business growth.

Technology Grant Program | Cisco
Donates networking technology to qualified nonprofit organizations to help them realize significant gains in productivity, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Grants prioritize these social investment areas: critical human needs, access to education, and economic empowerment.

Citizens Bank Corporate Giving | Citizens Bank Foundation
Programs focused on one of three funding areas: reducing hunger, financial literacy, and local economic development. Available to nonprofits in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, upstate New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
